Visit the Oyster Farms and enjoy fresh oysters straight from the sea to your palate

Savor the taste of fresh oysters and experience shucking them straight out of their shells! Follow the turn-off just 7 kilometers from Puerto Peñasco, on the highway toward Caborca, leading out to one of the most visited oyster farms frequented by visitors and residents alike. The area itself is home to several oyster farms renowned for their excellent quality, which is why for years oysters have been exported from here to different parts of Mexico and to neighboring countries. The most visited oyster farm is run by a women’s cooperative, which also offers a small restaurant “El Barco”, serving seafood recently pulled out of the sea. You can enjoy recently shucked oysters taken right from the estuary, or delight in one of the restaurant’s dishes, straight from the Sea to your Palate.
