Close to 5 thousand people enjoyed a 4 day party of music and great atmosphere was enjoyed on the beaches and bars of Puerto Peñasco on the weekend of June 6-9, during the 20th edition of Circus Mexicus.
Circus Mexicus creator and ambassador, Roger Clyne, was accompanied by dozens of Rock, Country, and Latin American Rhythm bands that made the thousands in attendance dance for 4 days straight, whether it was on the Mexican Moonshine Main Stage or around the many sponsoring bars around town.
This edition of Circus Mexicus celebrated 20 years of concerts that started with just a handful of followers from Arizona, until becoming a forum for bands and solo artists that gather more and more musicians and fans from all across southern USA to enjoy the beach concerts and even participate in beach soccer matches.
Circus Mexicus is active in several different locations; main stage is “Moonshine Stage”; the “XX” acoustic stage, JJ’s, and Xochitl’s are all in Cholla Bay; and you also have Banditos Bar, Wrecked at the Reef, Boobar, Al Capones, Tekila Bar y Mannys Beach Club that are located all around the city.

Drew Hagar, The Black Moods, Jared and the mill, Miles Nielsen & the Rusted hearts, Orkesta Mendoza, Blaine Long & Rosas del Rey, Drew Cooper, The Cole Trains, Eddie Eberle and the Getaway, Enormodome, Ghetto Cowgirl, The Hollyhocks, Jay Allan and the Uncommon Good, Jim Dalton, The Jons, Justin Hitson, Kelly Steward, Lawrence Zubia, Marc Norman, Mr. Mirainga, Natalie and the Sweet talkers, Natalie & Brenna, Paul Jenkins, Sara Robinson and Marc Norman, Stephen Ashbrook band, The Strolling Bones, Sugahbeat, Thomas Laufenberg, Weep & Willow, and Whiskey’s Quicker.
Besides having excellent music and environment, the program is made up of charitable activities that destine proceeds to vulnerable groups and associations like the Casa Hogar Esperanza foster home.
