Due to the Memorial Day celebration, the schedule for border crossing at the Arizona-Sonoita port of entry will be extended 2 hours on May 27 and May 30.
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is extending these hours thanks to the petition made from the Puerto Peñasco Municipal Government, which asks to honor this schedule extension on American holidays in order to provide a wider margin for tourists to get home.
In this sense, the common schedule for the Lukeville-Sonoyta border crossing, which has been from 6 AM to 8 PM, will now be from 6 AM to 10 PM on Friday and Monday. In this case, due to the Memorial Day holiday.
It is worth mentioning that the schedule will only be extended on agreed upon holidays. Here is a list of said holidays:
