Puerto Peñasco saw 5% increase in tourism in 2017

Over 2.3 million people visited Puerto Peñasco in 2017, representing a 5% increase over 2016. Puerto
Peñasco Convention and Visitors Bureau President Héctor Vázquez del Mercado detailed along with
growing interest in this beach side destination nestled along the Sea of Cortez, the tourism industry was
further impacted by the peso-dollar exchange, bringing in important revenue.
