Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans (CEDO)

Located in Las Conchas, the Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans (CEDO) welcomes visitors with a large whale skeleton near the entrance. At this research center, environmental education experts provide information concerning oceans, marine biodiversity, and the desert. Organized tours offered by CEDO are also an excellent opportunity to learn more about our rich ecosystem. CEDO Tours include: Tidepool adventures, boating, birding and snorkeling at Isla San Jorge (Bird Island), Pinacate adventures, visit to the dunes, and exploring the Morua estuary on foot or by kayak, among others.
